How it works

From upload to delivery, in six steps

Here is what happens to your recording, who touches it, when the clock starts, and what arrives.

  1. 1

    Upload and brief

Send audio or video through the encrypted portal, or ask your coordinator for a secure link if you prefer not to use the form. Include the notice or caption, the appearances, any spellings you have, the exhibit list, your template or the court's format order, and the deadline. We accept MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4 and MOV, and the audio exports from FTR, CourtSmart, JAVS and similar systems. Anything else, send it and we will confirm.

  2. 2

Confirmed quote within one business day

We check duration, speaker count and audio quality, confirm the rate and any surcharge before work starts, and sign your NDA if you need one. The turnaround clock starts when you approve the quote. Approvals after 2:00 pm ET count from the next business day.

  3. 3

    Assigned to a legal specialist

One transcriptionist works the whole recording, builds the speaker roster from your paperwork, and confirms every name, firm, citation and term against a source. Where a first draft is produced by speech-recognition software, it runs on a business service that does not retain or train on your audio, and every word of it is then worked against the recording.

  4. 4

    Reviewed by a second specialist

The reviewer listens to the audio again while checking the transcript, resolves what the first pass could not, and checks cover, appearances, index and certificate against the format order.

  5. 5

    Delivered with notes

You receive the transcript in Word and PDF and a short delivery note listing any phonetic spellings, unresolved passages with timestamps, and anything in the recording that conflicts with the paperwork, such as a caption spelling or a missing appearance, so you can resolve it from the file.

  6. 6

    Corrections window

Report anything within 14 days and we correct it at no charge. Errors on our side are fixed the same business day.
